Washington Journal talking about celebrity endorsements
Primarily Oprah for Obama. No mention of Harry Belafonte endorsing Edwards. Try to call in.

2. This is a rather silly topic with what all has gone on the past week
with the Bush administration. Why are they wasting time on this. The answer is endorsements by anyone or any group both help and hurt.

3. I agree but it's obscene that they didn't mention Belafonte endorsing Edwards
He was fighting for civil rights when Oprah was still in diapers.

4. Well the entire framing was weak and not well thought out. It seemed to me to a poll question
instead of one that would spark the kind of debate to bring up Belafonte or anyone else for that matter because they were pushing Oprah.

5. If a movie star tells you to squat do you, hell no and you wouldn't
vote for ANY candidate from Hillary, Obama or Edwards on down just because one of the movie "people" told you to.

6. If this was a Democratic administration...
we'd be hearing speculation about cover-up and impeachment, non-stop.

7. Each segment would be at least an hour and there would be an entire gaggle of guests on
each show. There would be no bringing on a lone reporter new to the beat to tell us how much he or she didn't know WTF they were talking about.

8. They would bring someone on who didn't know...
WTF they were talking about but who would be pretending to be an expert, while blasting us with the latest gossip they'd picked up over the cocktail weenies.
