3. You should do a follow-up asking which candidate people are most OPPOSED to...

and which one would be their SECOND CHOICE.

4. I post these polls in both GD and GD-P, the results of all polls are used
I did the same with the all announced candidate polls that ran from September through the first week of November and these are DU's top six.

These are the only type of candidate polls I post, I count the results (total votes/percentage) accurately as anyone who has tracked these polls will attest to.

The restoration of our Constitution and Bill of Rights, impeachment, accountability, the repeal of the PATRIOT ACT and NAFTA, universal health care and a lot more are represented in a vote for one candidate only

DENNIS KUCINICH

6. If you got a statistician to "normalize" the voting based on national polls
They would all be close to even :D

7. When I took statistics I spent hours doing frequency tables by hand
I understand Chi-square and the central tendency of distribution-all that is pointless when it comes to politics!

15. Why do we on GD support Kucinich so much more than those on GD-P? Are we that much more progressive?

17. No, the wide disparity predates that. I think there is a larger DLC-accepting contingency in GD-P.

19. Perhaps I should have said "corporatist" instead of DLC because some DLC members like Kerry have not
not toed the DLC line like Hillary has so perhaps the corporatist voting trend is a more accurate indicator than DLC membership.

I wonder if that is the key difference because the greater love for Dennis in GD seems offset by a Hillary fan-base in GD-P which seems much smaller in GD.

Edwards does well in both GD and GD-P, Obama seems to have the same approximate support in the two forums, but Biden and Hillary seem to do noticeably better in GD-P which Kucinich (and formerly Gore) do much better here.

20. Edwards does better in GDP by my assessment. Maybe GP likes Ron Paul more and therefore
liked Kucinich's Paul as VP idea, even though Kucinich took it off the table after Paul passed. I see quite a few pro-Paul posts in GP, and he has a rabid online fanbase.

22. No. The trend clearly predates Kucinich's expression of being open minded about considering a VP
outside the traditional pool for Democrats. Presumably, you know that it wasn't "Kucinich's Paul as VP idea."

But you might be on to something. I think there is more of an anti-war bent in GD and more of an anti-Patriot Act inclination and so, perhaps, some here are quicker to balance anti-war, anti-Patriot Act Paul's few good positions against his many flaws.

24. I honestly think that Biden is the best choice we currently have
I would welcome a ticket headed by Biden even though he is not my first choice. As far as experience he is head and shoulders above Clinton, Edwards, or Obama and he speaks well. I know the press tries to make it look like he is long winded but that's just Republican smear bullshit and some fool Democrats repeat (there aren't any fools of that kind here though) from time to time. Look at his stance on the war and the war criminals, on the return for the respect of law and the Constitution. The man makes a lot of sense and he is not out there pandering to the press' daily popularity contest ratings.

26. I agree
just can't believe how much of a circus the primaries have become. If people really listened to the candidates and not just the tabloid garbage that blankets the media, I' sure more people would come around to Joe.

37. Is EDWARDS' support moving up in Iowa? (Signs are positive)...
Did you catch the Tweety comment about Edwards at the end of his show today?

Tweety made the comment that Edwards appears sunny and happy, and then stated "He is within striking range..." One of the guests said Edwards has a top organization in Iowa which he built years ago.

Hillary is making fewer appearances in Iowa, and her polling numbers are going down in Iowa. Obama is holding onto the top spot in national polling based on telephone calls to Iowans.

The Edwards people have not been releasing internal polling, but they definitely seem to be content with the way things are going --even though the national pollings keep showing Edwards in 3rd place.

Hmmmm....This could be good....
