Man Accused Of Stealing Hospice TV


MARION COUNTY, Fla. -- A Central Florida man was arrested in connection with a stolen $2,000 flat-screen television from a hospice facility after surveillance video of the crime aired on Local 6 News and Local6.com.

Investigators said they believe John Paul Sturniolo, 40, removed a 36-inch TV from the Hospice of Marion County, located at 17395 SE 109th Terrace Road, on Wednesday.

Police said Sturniolo's neighbor watched a report of the crime, recognized Sturniolo and called the authorities.

After an investigation, Sturniolo was charged with grand theft and burglary in connection with the crime.
