As a devout agnostic, there doesn't seem to be room for me or atheists in Romney's view of America.

Anyone who would stoop as low as he did yesterday in kissing the asses of the mindless fundie zombies who make up "the base" of the Republican Party, has no business being president.

Who knows? Maybe they'll vote for him in the primaries, although I doubt it. Why vote for a phony when they've got the "real thing" in Huckabee?

But the fact that he has no problem disenfranchising so many of us makes him an outright disgusting person. He bitches about being put upon because he's a Mormon and then turns around and takes a huge crap on others.

Do you suppose humanity will survive long enough to outgrow it's adolescence?

1. Romney is a hypocrit. Just like Obama.
Romney being a Mormon and Obama being a black man, they should both know better, but they apparently don't or don't care.

Neither will be getting my vote, because America needs a better person in the White House next term, not more of the same.

3. One thing that stands out about Obama is
he SAID IN AN INTERVIEW HE WOULD BOMB IRAN. Then he constantly and daily pans Hillary Clinton because she signed the IWR resolution. At least she has said if they had not been lied to they would not have done so. Back when Obama said he would bomb IRAN, there was no discussion that said IRAN HAD NUCLEAR WEAPONS....THAT LIE CAME LATER.

8. You've just gotta' love their "persecution" scam.
Edited on Fri Dec-07-07 02:51 PM by Cyrano
They're the victims and we bullies are trying to put them out of business.

What we're really talking about here is just one more weapon that they use in their arsenal of hypocrisy.

9. I DIDN'T SPEND 24 YEARS IN UNIFORM SUPPORTING AND DEFENDING THE BIBLE
mittster and his boys haven't spent anytime defending our constitution or our country THE LAND OF THE FREE. It is incredibly pathetic to kiss the ass of those who would do away with out constitution and replace it with their majic book. And he fucked the ass kissing up. He didn't say he hated gays, liberals, muslims, immigrants.

10. What we think of as an offensive speech by Mittens will be his saving grace
in the GOP primary process. He really helped himself yesterday--yes, by crapping on non-believers. He knew he couldn't justify Mormonism to evangelicals, but he emphasized to them that at least he's RELIGIOUS and will fight against "secularism" for prayer in public schools, nativity scenes, etc. This was a brilliant maneuver on his part--they HATE secularism. He also emphasized American exceptionalism and patriotism. He managed to take the emphasis off of his Mormonism and onto his "Presidential" qualities, at least in terms of what GOPers are looking for, and Limbaugh, Krauthammer, and even Tweety can't say enough about this speech. He also made Huckabee look smaller, cheaper and less-Presidential by comparison. It was a home run for Mittens, and a slam on those of us who sort of like the separation of church and state.
