5. Here's an interesting tidbit about Mitt (pretty much all I know about him):
Edited on Thu Dec-06-07 07:57 PM by polichick
My parents once had dinner with the Romneys as a guest of Mitt's dad, George. Mitt, who was a teenager at the time, was actually expected to serve the food, even though there was household help. Seems he was raised to be quite humble and polite. My parents, who are lifelong Dems, could only say nice things about him.

That's it ~ all I know about him, except he seems to be a flip-flopper and apparently thinks the Garden of Eden was in Missouri.

18. That's what I heard too...
My grandfather (a real stickler for honesty and integrity) knew him when Romney was Governor of Michigan, and liked him a lot. George R. was well-loved in Michigan.

He'll tell you ANYTHING to get the sale.

Beware Of Guys That Act Like Used Car Salesmen

http://www.askmen.com/money/mafioso_100/127_mafia.html

We've all met them. You know the type. The "used car salesman" type. The guy who shows more teeth
than an alligator at feeding time (as my friend Bobby likes to say). The guy who never stops smiling
and pats your back every few minutes. The ultimate fugazi (fake).

Most of the time these guys are easy to spot -- a 5-year-old can smell their manipulation, but
sometimes, especially if the guy is good, you might mistake the alligator smile for charm or personality.

As smart as people think they are, their BS detectors are often turned off in the presence
of someone charismatic and articulate.

When you see a used car salesman, you know right away that you have to be on your guard. If it isn't
the gold teeth or the plaid jacket, it's the excessive laughing and incessant back slapping.
You know the guy's going to try to play you, and he's a goner once he starts whispering in your ear,
"You know I'm not supposed to tell you this but I have a great deal coming..." -- Shut the hell up.

You should tell the stupid cafone, "You know I'm not supposed to tell you this, but you are a goddamn piece of crap
and a waste of space who makes me wish I lived in medieval times so I could hang your testicoli from a tree."

more........

9. I'll go with a general all around grifter
He's certainly slick and smarmy like a used car salesman. But at least with aluminum siding, used cars, or penny stocks, you get something in return.
