Launching an attack on Iran
however insane it might be, could be exactly what The Chimp needs to excuse himself from duties. He knows that absolutely another war won't be allowed to flourish, and that he would definitely be toast. He hopes we will send him packing, really. He is like a bad boy that needs to be sent home. He won't leave on his own accord. I think he would be glad to be excused from the whole mess. He's tired, we're tired. I just wish we could send him packing without any more bloodshed.

1. I think that he is thinking exactly the opposite..
He thinks that if he launches a war with Iran, he will be vindicated in the Iraq debacle.
Furthermore, he is executing one of the key points of th PNAC charter and he sees himself as the monarch of America and can do as he pleases and no one can stop him.

6. we don't know
that's the problem: the media has so misrepresented the news for so long that surely this chaos is reflected in a 'paralysis of will' among vast numbers of decent patriotic folk who nevertheless recognise a vandalizer in junyer bush, and bankruptcy in the republican't party....'tune in turn on drop out' apparently is now the mantra of gop supporters, it appears, but whether that impacts the 'spawn of wimpy' and his nefarious plans...we can only hope.

2. Hoping to be "sent packing" is NOT part of the master plan.
That would intefere with Neocon plans to sieze control of Middle East oil while protecting Israel. They went to way too much trouble pulling off the 2000 coup and installing their lackey to have him sent packing now. The 44% percent of Neocons in Congress, though a minority, are seeing to that as yesterday's Senate vote demonstrated.

We may have control in numbers in Congress, but we don't have control and the mandate we established in November seems to have no teeth at all.

8. Bush won't step down
He keeps beating the Iran war drum and he is part of the neocon playbook .

As lame as he appears in public he does come to life when he talks about wars and killing , this is where he accels .

I'm afraid they will not give up and actually feel attacking Iran will get the US back on supporting more war out of fear .

You can never judge how many people in the US are really against wars .

We did just make the elections in 2006 but what were the actual reasons and how many voted specifically against this war in Iraq .

This was all polls and whatever we have in exit polls . Many may be sick of bush for many other reasons other than wars .
