Peaktalk’s Pieter Dorsman spends two interesting posts on a UNICEF report ‘considering children’s well being in 21 industrial nations.’ In which countries are children best off? In what countries are children very happy and in what countries are they unhappy? Good news for the Netherlands and Sweden:

That’s right. Children are best off, according to this UNICEF report, in the Netherlands, Sweden and Denmark and worst off in the United States and the United Kingdom.

If those countries get too far ahead, we'll just drop a little "Shock and Awe" on them. That will slow their children down a little bit.

Seriously, when do republicans invest in chlidren. They want to pay so little that one parent can't stay at home. They cut after school programs for kids. They target public schools and teachers. The results shouldn't be surprising. I imagine that the FReepers will kick and scream all the way to the grave about those Scandinavian socialists!
