I'd love to see more from Dodd, too. Maybe he has a strategy of lying low until later in the race, maybe he's just hoping someone will fall and he'll slip in, or maybe he's still gathering funds. Or maybe he's really campaigning to be VP. I don't know. I thought he'd be more popular around here.

2. Well, I have my theories about it. Christopher Dodd was one of the major

architects of the "Help America Vote for Bush Act" of 2002 (aka, the "Help America Vote Act"-HAVA), in collusion with the biggest crooks in the Anthrax Congress--Tom Delay and Bob Ney. HAVA appropriated $3.9 billion with which to fast-track the conversion of our voting system to electronic voting machines run on "TRADE SECRET," PROPRIETARY programming code, owned and controlled by rightwing Bushite corporations, and with special lobbying attention paid to having virtually no audit/recount controls.

There is no question in my mind that this WAS the fascist coup. This is how Bush/Cheney stayed in power in 2004, despite finding no WMDs in Iraq and the Abu Ghraib torture expose. (--63% of Americans opposed to torture "under any circumstances"--5/04).

But Diebold/ES&S "trade secret" vote counting has more ramifications that just war profiteering. (Dodd voted for the war and for all war funding.) It means LONG TERM control of our vote counting system by the Corporate Reich. You will notice that how the Democrats in Congress are responding to the election reform movement is to lard more billions of taxpayer dollars into the pockets of the two main culprits, Diebold and ES&S, to "fix" the election system that they deliberately broke. This is Dodd, Dodd, Dodd!

Dodd was John Kerry's ADVISER on electronic voting--assuring him that it was all safe and secure. HE is the one who misinformed Kerry!

This grand scheme probably originated at the Bilderberg Group (of which Dodd is a member). If you're going to loot the American people with an unjust war, hideous war profiteering and multiple tax cuts for the rich, and maintain the Global Corporate Predator base from which to control all the resources on earth, you have to fix our elections. That's what they did.

Now you hear Dodd giving all these pious, ringing speeches about stopping the war, and stopping torture, and saving the Constitution. Har! What a crock!

I think he is a major snake in the grass, and a demagogue.

At least with Hillary you get warts and all. This guy is a HYPOCRITE and LIAR!

I happened to hear his first announcement of his run for president--on the Al Franken Show (with a substitute host) about, oh, four months or so ago. He was speaking from Ireland, where he was on vacation. He said, "We don't want any losers as our candidate" (Gore, Kerry), and "Hillary is in trouble with the antiwar crowd"--and that leaves HIM. I almost puked.

This guy intends to get a return favor from Diebold/ES&S--their (s)election of him as our candidate and president, at which point he will use all those "unitary executive" powers he let Bush accumulate, to cement the rule of the Corporate Reich so firmly that we will never be able to get our country back.

Just think about it. Guy announces a run for president with no base of support. Hardly anyone has heard of him. His major accomplishments are shilling for Bush's war, and helping to engineer the only kind of election system Bush/Cheney could be re-elected with: a fraudulent one, with Bushite corporations in charge of SECRET vote counting.

With Hillary, I get vibes of corruption and naked ambition. Bush himself is an upfront evil-doer. It's pretty obvious what he is. But Dodd...Dodd is a lurker. He gives me the willies.
