Yeah, the temporary lull in violence in Baghdad is, predictably, over.

BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- Two car bombs exploded in quick succession Sunday in southeastern Baghdad, killing 35 people and wounding at least 125 others, police said.

The attack happened in the mostly Shiite district of Baghdad al-Jadida -- which translates to "New Baghdad" -- around 3 p.m. local time (7 a.m. ET).

About an hour later, a suicide car bomber detonated near an Iraqi National Police checkpoint in Sadr City, killing one policeman and wounding two civilians, an Interior Ministry official said.

Sadr City is a stronghold of radical Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr.

Meanwhile, U.S.-led coalition forces killed four suspected terrorist facilitators and arrested four suspected terrorists during a raid Sunday in southwestern Iraq, the U.S. military announced.
