7. On the Chavez issue, I've seen a lot of DUers parroting Big Oil talking points.
There is such a huge disconnect in the USA from reality beyond the borders, it is no surprise.

The quick check (cure) to discover if you are the least informed
on Chavez vis-a-vis Bush & Big Oil is to watch this awesome film:

THE REVOLUTION WILL NOT BE TELEVISED = FILM on the Failed Overthrow of Hugo Chavez
Links at: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x2386960

Stephen Holden, The New York Times
"More than a scary close-up look at the raw mechanics of a power grab, the film is also a
cautionary examination of the use of television to deceive and manipulate the public." ...

Everybody knows that nuance is what took down the roman empire.

12. I only buy Citgo gasoline, even if it's the highest one in the area
Edited on Mon Dec-03-07 12:26 PM by ngant17
And I also immensely enjoy listening to right-wingers drive by and shout at me, "Buy American gas!", while I am filling up my tank with Citgo gasoline.

Yeah, that's what I heard last week. "American gas"??? Like a product based on Venezuelan light crude from the Orinoco oil belt isn't now qualifying as "American" gasoline? Until a rightwing coup, perhaps?
