National Debt Grows $1 Million a Minute

By TOM RAUM | Associated Press Writer
8:33 AM CST, December 3, 2007

WASHINGTON - Like a ticking time bomb, the national debt is an explosion waiting to happen. It's expanding by about $1.4 billion a day -- or nearly $1 million a minute.

What's that mean to you?

It means almost $30,000 in debt for each man, woman, child and infant in the United States.

16. It's 30,000 for one year. In other words, it's a one time payment.
If every man, woman, and child had 30,000 and made a one-time payment on the national debt, the debt would be gone. Not only would the debt be gone but the tens of billions in interest payments on the debt would be gone as well.

4. The money goes to the totally unconstitutional Fed!
International banksters! Abolish the Fed, let Congress print the money. Presto! No more national debt.

6. You've been watching too many Libertarian videos or something
There's no magic word to change the situation we're in. Bush is using hardcore corporate welfare under the guise of the "War on Terrorism" to bankrupt us while making his business buddies rich. Not to mention the thousands of innocent lives he's spending to prop up this plan.

it doesn't take magic.
Why have I been watching too many? Do you have a clue?
I agree with you about Bush. However...
I've merely been looking into the Fed and the IRS and their creation. You should too sometime.
Here's a good tutorial for you: link

You just gave me links to two of them. Go ahead and stop paying taxes if this is how you feel.
