Clinton urges start of Iraq pullout in 90 days
Sat Feb 17, 2007 5:11pm ET

By Jim Wolf

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, the early front-runner for the Democratic presidential nomination, has called for a 90-day deadline to start pulling American troops from Iraq.

Clinton, the wife of former President Bill Clinton, has been criticized by some Democrats for supporting authorization of the war in 2002 and for not renouncing her vote as she seeks the U.S. presidency in next year's election.

"Now it's time to say the redeployment should start in 90 days or the Congress will revoke authorization for this war," the New York senator said in a video on her campaign Web site, repeating a point included in a bill she introduced on Friday.

15. Yup,She said it.Straight out.No weasel-wording,no weakness....
How do you like that.I am surprised.I am impressed.I have heretofore had a very negative view of Ms. Clinton. I like what she said.Lets watch her and see how she wields a hammer on Mr. Bush. This is very good talk.Time for Ms. Clinton to put down the tea and finger sandwiches and leave Ms. Pelosis' self congratulatory garden party. She is desperately needed in a street fight we have underway with Bush and Co.Get in there and land a few punches please.Take some of that gritty ambition of yours and apply it to this fight. You may be all right after all. We'll see.

8. Ouch! I feel whiplash.....Frankly, I find this to have a feeling of being
desperate. And it opens her up to more skepticism among Democrats...and more ammunition for the GOP. Who suggested this to her, the woman who can't even admit a mistake?

18. If she was SINCERE she would've submitted legislation to the SENATE, not an Internet
appearance for ONE targeted audience - the political audience of the internet.

This is pure pandering and, as usual, insulting to those who really CARE about truth and honesty in government.

13. How Amusing
Of course, the only way they can actually enforce this is to impeach Bush - which Mrs. Clinton will sign onto sometime after there are already 80 or so votes in the Senate.

14. pretty safe to call for all of this now, isn't it?
Congress can't even pass a non-binding resolution and Hilary wants to pretent to have a backbone. Sorry ol' girl, should have acted like this a few years back.

17. And let's throw in national health care, too. Why not?
Isn't anyone willing to tell her that these big ideas need backing? From at least your own party?

Now that we can't even debate a non-binding resolution, it's safe to call for anything, because it obviously can't happen.

Like dating married women. No threat. No chance of it working out.

This is cowardice.

Let's shoot for twisting 7 more republican arms. Start small, Hillary.
