The Florida Board Of Education has given the public the opportunity to review the Science Standards.
From the Florida Department Of Education:
Commissioner of Education Jeanine Blomberg has asked our office to respond to your e-mail regarding the revision to the Florida science content standards. We would like to thank you on behalf of the Commissioner and assure you that she appreciates your interest and commitment to educational excellence.
The science content standards are still in draft form and have not yet been approved by the State Board of Education. We encourage you to review the proposed science standards and provide specific feedback online at http://www.fldoestem.org/page231.aspx.
You are also welcome to submit any overall comments on the draft of the new science content standards to me at the e-mail address provided below.
If the Office of Mathematics and Science can be of further assistance, please contact me at (850)245-0764 or via email at todd.clark@fldoe.org.
After FLDOE recently stood against the ID/creationist, I sent them an email supporting their decision to keep pseudoscience out of the education system. It would be great is more people would take a few moments to review their stands of Science education and the new benchmarks.
