Does Everyone Else Read This As A Bad Sign?
Bush renews pledge to back Israel if Iran attacks
Wed Nov 28, 6:35 PM ET

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President George W. Bush on Wednesday reiterated his pledge the United States would defend Israel if it was attacked by Iran, a country whose president has urged that the Jewish state be "wiped off the map."

"I have made it clear that ... we will support our ally Israel if attacked by Iran," Bush said in an interview with CNN that comes on the heels of a Middle East summit aimed at rekindling peace talks between Israel and Palestinians.

"I hope it doesn't happen," he said.

Still, Bush said he took seriously the various comments by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad about Israel. Ahmadinejad has questioned whether the genocide by the Nazis against Jews took place, one of a number of comments that have fueled international criticism.

The United States and other Western powers have accused Tehran of seeking nuclear weapons under the cover of a nuclear energy program, a charge Iran denies. The White House has also accused Iran of aiding insurgents in neighboring Iraq.

Like they (CIA) are going to do a 'Gulf of Tonkin' against Israel and say that Iran did it to go to 'War'??

1. Cheney and AIPAC want that war so much they can taste the blood
but they're being told NO by a more realistic Pentagon. Even Israel seems to be backing off a bit, now that they've seen how this bunch has completely botched things up in Iraq.

I'm not sure a repeat of a Gulf of Tonkin incident would work this time. In the first place, nobody with a grip on reality wants this thing, not even the most pro Iraq war hawks who still think winning there is possible, because they don't want to dilute troop strength there. In the second place, any faked incident would be exposed on the web very quickly. In the third place, even the uppermost class in this country is getting very nervous about the financial health of this country and realize a bankrupt country might allow Grover Norquist to end social security, but it would also be unable to protect them and their interests.

Let's just hope Congress gets a little more serious about impeaching Cheney since Scotty spilled the beans about how far up on the food chain the Plame coverup went.

8. The straits of Hormuz are 10 miles wide and 300 feet deep
It would take more than 'a couple' of ships to block the Persian Gulf.

3. Is it possible the Bushies are going to have their al-Qaeda pals attack Israel to start the war?
That would be the most boneheaded move to date. Most likely to start DubyaDubyaThree.

But it WOULD get the Bushies their war with Iraq and all those redirected and stolen tax dollars.

14. CNBC is ramping it up with what appear to be "paid Infomercials"
that air between the 7:00-7:30 a.m. time slot on the East Coast when folks are just getting ready to go to work.

The "Infommercials" just started this week after the "TG Break." Today's was a segment on how "Mass Riots are protesting Chavez's Dictatorship and then moved on to "War with Iran" conversation from some CNBC "reporter" (I've not seen featured until recently in the early hours) and some "CNBC Consultant" named Ken (didn't catch last name because they never verified it after initial introduction).

This formerly unknown CNBC Reporter had a conversation with CNBC Consultant, Ken about how Iran had over 30 something Centrifuges ready to go with Nukes (in the background is still playing a blue sky with missiles being launched (assumed to be Iran) and they keep doing this "Q&A" between them about how fast Iran is moving towards nukes and that Larry Kudlow met with Bush in the WH and he says that "Bush isn't sure how fast traked Iran's Nuke program is and the "Ken, Consultant" said: "Well, my sources tell me that Iran is farther along than the President wants to admit at this point and it's serious and we are going to have to deal with this."

Neither this "reporter or Ken, Consultant" seemed believable to me...and believe me I've been around since watching Nixon! This was a hoked up fake propaganda piece that MSNBC is now putting out to test on CNBC. I've also been a watcher of CNBC since back to the old days when they bought out FNN which was a great start up stock channel that really DID great reporting on Wall St. Once MSNBC bought them out the thing changed over the years to become the Shill thing that CNBC is today. But, NOW ..they've "Jumped the Shark" by using Paid Propaganda for the Busheies doled out in these little PsyOp shopped "five minute segments" using some new unknown CNBC reporter and a "Consultant" whose straight out of the Cheney Propaganda Department that's co-opted the CIA and FBI and is now producing their own FUCKING MEDIA!

If I could do "screen captures" I'd send it all to Media Matters and let them get onto it. As it stands I'll watch and write down what I see and send it to them when I have more info and some transcripts.

Bushies is going to go after Iran...because he has to. And the Media and our Dems in Congress know it...it's just WHEN that has us all on edge. But, it will come unless some force we don't know of will come out and smack them down. We have to pray or whatever that we have more help than it's looking like out there in Media Land these days. :-(
