BREAKING NEWS! A hospitalized Evel Knievel has died at age 66, apparently while trying to jump a nurse.

7. So sad
Man, I loved Evel as a kid. Had the toy motorcycle with zip string, the action figure, etc. He was the coolest, at least back in the mid-70's.

And unlike Fonzie, Evel could actually ride a motorcycle.

RIP

8. Will they cram his coffin into a huge cannon, and shoot him across the Snake River?
Edited on Fri Nov-30-07 04:33 PM by Judi Lynn

13. Google said he was 69, but it's messed up either way.
Almost everyone I knew as a kid had one of those toy motorcycles with the doll of him in riding position and the little stand with the crank you could use to send it hauling ass over ramps and stuff.

It's here: http://www.plaidstallions.com/evel/index.html

14. You know they re-issued those.
A friend picked one up at TJ Maxx. Now I'm off to get mine.
