Interesting the timing of Rudy's bad news. The mistress issue, &
the ties to terrorist supporters. How timely these stories are.

Makes me wonder...

wouldn't it be great if someone or some group of someones has been saving nuggets like these for months and months just waiting for the right time to disclose this information to the public?

As they say, "timing is everything."

How curious.

1. I wish all the bad stuff on Giuliani would stay hidden until he won the Repub nomination.
Then a flood of bad news came out, killing his campaign.

Right now, I think Giuliani is one of the weakest Republicans out there and the more that piles up, the harder it will be for him to win the nomination.

2. If the people that announced the scandals of Mr. 911
really were trying to sabotage him wouldn't they hold on to the
into a week before the first Primary? By the time it rolls around this info
will be stale. No matter what info emerges on this jerk unless it is a criminal
case his support in the RWing will remain strong. It is obvious that the
RWing will over look almost anything in order for their Candidate to win.

9. I see your point. I am thinking they have more to reveal and have
been saving it up. I could be wrong.

11. I think he'd be the toughest Republican in the general election
He's basically been sainted since 9/11, and most criticism of him has not stuck. I'd be surprised if these stories make it to even the Sunday papers & talk shows.

I think he'd be tough because his pro-choice views won't allow him to be painted as a dangerously RW radical. His moderation on some social issues and his image as a tough no nonsense type on terror & crime will play well with a lot of moderates.

13. He's sleeze.
And I believe he'd put many southern states into play, while probably not doing enough to win Kerry/Gore states.

3. I took a peek over at hannity.com tonight to see what they were saying
God, I feel so dirty now.

Anyway, to get past most of the crap, they don't believe it. They think it is a planted story.

Funny how they never believe the repuke scandals, but they will believe anything about the dems, no matter how ridiculous.

4. Even more interesting...
Edited on Fri Nov-30-07 02:16 AM by George Oilwellian
a rightwing website broke the Bootygate story. Who broke the ties with terrorists story? Was that Politico as well? Keith Olbermann reported on it...kudos to him.

8. Some reporter with the Village Voice wrote the story but it began
in part in two other newspapers.

6. I can guantee you that someone(s) w/money
has already made their lists of what they know and they know a lot. These people have already spoken w/reporters all over the states. They do not want Rudy in the White House.

The tidbits we heard today are only the beginning. There are more stories to tell.

Although I understood, albeit abstractly, that the wealthy in our country can wield a lot of power, it hit me like a Mack truck how easy it is for the wealthy to influence national events.

7. It's Coming From Several Fronts
Your suspicions are waranted as the primaries get closer and there are those who want to knock Rudy down...either to hurt him now or to create ammo to go after him if he makes it to the general election.

The Nathan story came out of the Village Voice...no right wing group, thus I suspect it came with a tip or two from New Yorkers (Democrats) who never liked Rudy and now are unleashing the dirt. The Kerik thing comes from another area...the indictment that is better out there now than it would be next year. Now all bets are off if Kerik goes to trial before the election, but I suspect that it won't if Rudy is the nominee.

Most the dirty tricksters in the GOOP...the Blackwells, Floyd Browns and others all seem to be working for Rudy. The one thing Rudy seems to have going for him is Faux Noise...the great "equalizer" in the Repugnican hive.

12. What is so special about this particular time?
I would think two weeks before the first Primary would be a better time. Now there are weeks to distract from this story and Republicans are known for their extremely short attention span..
