Just got back from seeing Gore in Boise!
He was awesome, funny, and passionate. I see a lot of idahoans changing their tunes.

Nothing but standing ovations and the kids walking in behind me wanted Gore For President t-shirts.

I guess there were some protesters, but I didn't see the reported "4" or "5" of them. LOL

I am inspired. Off to wallyworld to get their only green product which Gore endorsed - affordable ... gads can't remember the name - energy friendly lightbulbs.

He ended by showing states that had embraced the Kyoto Agreement and Wow... Thunderous applause. :)

Going to sleep disturbed but smiling.

2. Senator Larry Craig sounded like an ass in his remarks
It was the usual we've got to worry about the economy.

The GOP will gorge themselves to death with $bills while producing a poisonous environment. The fools.

4. Gore just had a ton of us in the palm of his hand...
You can do it locally. :) And we cheered. All of us in one place, all agreeing. Maybe we can make a change. My personal favorite topic is mass transit. You would not believe how horrible it is here.

16. What would Chief Seattle say to Senator Craig?
“Only when the last tree has died, and the last river has been poisoned, and the last fish has been caught, will we realise that we cannot eat money.”

Here are two good websites for buying carbon offsets for your travel and car in case you can't get a hybrid right away. Guilt-free driving!

7. Greetings from here in neighboring Oregon!
How nice to hear that Idahoans are coming around. Been a long haul! I have a Dem friend who used to work polling places in the Boise area, and says she was always the only Dem in a sea of Repubs. The times they are a-changin'! Woo hoo!

Saw "An Inconvenient Truth" recently. Very proud of our duly and lawfully elected President, Al Gore!

11. I'm jealous! As for the lightbulbs
I've already replaced most of my "major" lightbulbs with the spiral-neons. I'm replacing the rest as the old ones burn out.

So, to sum up, although these light bulbs cost more up front - I don't have to replace them as often (I would have bought them for that alone!), they use less electricity (saving me on my monthly Electric bill), and they help the evironment.

And Al simply pointed out that if we for the light bulb that would save us all money in the long run anyway, we would also go a long way to helping out the whole energy and global warming thing.

Al, PLEASE RUN!

14. Replaced my bulbs 3-4 years ago
I also purchased two spares but haven't needed them. Not only do they use less energy, they last for years.

17. There were 3
One with a "Global Warming is caused by Al Gore's hot air" sign.

Another with a anti-UN sign.

And another with a "Thanks Al and Bill for sending the Chinese missile technology".

And they were all getting laughed at.
