The choice got easier this past week.
For me, Hillary's suggestion that Colin "Have I Got a War for You" Powell might serve a useful role in a future Clinton government pretty much rules her out. Apparently she's still every bit as clueless as she was back when she voted for ANWR. Kucinich jumped the shark, too (I know, don't say it) with this whole Ron Paul as running mate deal. I knew Kucinich was a goofball, but anybody that thinks Ron Paul ought to be VP is goofball squared, on acid. Barring a late Gore entry, that leaves Obama, Biden and maybe Edwards, although I don't entirely trust his recent transformation from centrist to almost-gets-it populist/progressive. Biden/Obama, maybe? We'll see—plenty of time left before the WI primary rolls around.

1. She also seems to be conveniently forgetting
That Bill Clinton asked Colin Powell to stay on when he became President, and Powell refused. Not only that, it was Powell who intervened to stop Clinton's attempt to allow gays to openly serve in the military.

3. Maybe she figures that she'll need a proven liar as a cabinet member.
You know, someone who'll lie about war crimes and civilian massacres, anthrax, noo-cu-lar weapons (oh hell, WMDs in general).
Powel has a remarkable track record in those areas.

4. I like Dodd; I think he's the strongest of the lot on constitutional issues.
He's polling just slightly better than Gravel, though, unfortunately.

6. Yep. Unfortunately.
I guess the only way to understand the situation is to know the people are clueless the constitution is in trouble. Politics as usual is the rule without knowledge.

5. I give Edwards major credit for at least trying to be a Populist
He knows that is what America needs, I think a stronger Democratic/Progressive Majority would send any Democrat President some very good bills. Edwards has the idea, Biden the experience and confidence. I was hopeful with Obama in Feb., but he has failed to impress.

Colon Powell is a deal-breaker. I love Kucinich, I still think he's the best, but Paul is a deal-beaker.(we know his chances, anyway)

You know, come to think of it, I don't want a single filthy repuke anywhere near the WH until the gop is officially dead.

I agree with you: Biden and Edwards, could go Obama.
