STYX GOES GREEN - SIGNS BIOFUEL PACT!
Edited on Wed Nov-28-07 01:56 PM by percussivemadness
STYX GOES GREEN. What do Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard and Styx have in common? They’re all green because each has teamed up with BidForGreen on their tours. The company provides biodiesel and logistics for the treks, helping the artists and the environment. Styx frontman Tommy Shaw said in a blog, “BidForGreen is doing what needed to be done – creating a database of fuel suppliers and setting up accounts so that it has been made even easier for us to use biodiesel than to spend the time fueling up in the stinky line at the truck stop, something we’ve all accepted as part of traveling by tour bus.” Shaw is currently touring with his side project, Shaw/Blades, who are also working with BidForGreen.

Peace

4. But compost produces methane
Which is actually the worst greenhouse gas, increasing global warming and climate change.....

Damn, I always knew that Styx was behind it all. The crappy music was just a cover for their nefarious agenda.

I should apologize to Journey, however. I used to blame it all on their insipid caterwauling.

7. Doesn't Shaw hang out with the Nuge?
Maybe he can convince Ted to put a solar panel on his outhouse.

13. Doubt it. Damn Yankees lasted... what, a year?
The Blue Collar Man who co-wrote a song about Ted Kennedy (Eddie) friends with a guy who still uses words like "Poon Tang"?

8. I think I'm the only DUer who will admit to liking Styx.
Yes, most of their music is cheesy, over-produced crap and I skip several tracks on each album, but there are some hidden gems I like.

At least I know I'm not totally on crack for liking them.

14. You know what's really bad
...is that Mr Roboto is the best song on that album (I got it for x-mas in 1983).:puke:

11. They did a credible cover of "I am the Walrus"
Not that it was necessary.

12. Good thing Achilles was dipped in it when it was murky water.
Now, he'd have all that bio-diesel on him that Paris could just light him on fire with a torch instead of shoot his foot off.

Or do I have the wrong Styx?

15. Hell goes Green!!!
Satan, recently issued a new decree. "Me, the dark lord, master of the underworld, ruler of the evil, crusher of the stupid and unworthy, the baddest of the bad asses, now decree that we will now be green!! if there is no earth or worthless mortals to condemn to an after life of total misery...I mean...what's the point? So from this moment forward recycling is mandatory!!! All puke, puss and other bodily fluids are to be reused!!! The cat of 9 tails will only have 3 tails now!!! In an effort to cut back on energy the rack will be manual once again!!! All scalding oils will be made from corn!!! And one last thing, bus riding is mandatory, unless you bike to work!!!"
