The failure of the health care free market
Earlier this week there was a thread asking DU'ers if they really wanted government to run our health care system -
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x2348018

In that thread I posted that government health care is the best there is in terms of treating mental illness.

I would like to challenge all you free market types (there has to be someone here that supports the free market over government health insurance, right? :)) to post a link to a private health care provider that can compete with medicaid.

Any takers?

2. We seniors are pretty satisfied with Medicare, a single-payer, government system.

4. say "mental health problems" on an insurance ap...
and you can never get good/any coverage again, or they actually have to get a note from your shrink (been there). I am giving up and filing for disability, so that I will be able to have the almost $300 of psych meds covered. Right now, I have to rely on the charity of the pharma companies and my docs to get some of my medications. The other one is $114/month for a generic.

Upset, who me? Upset? Hell, yes.
