Mayor Claims He Was Abducted By Satanists
Mayor In Arkansas Says He's Been Leading Double Life

CENTERTON, Ark. -- The mayor of an Arkansas town resigned on Wednesday, claiming he was abducted and brainwashed by Satan worshippers nearly three decades ago.

Centerton Mayor Ken Williams said he has been living under an assumed name for nearly 30 years. He had been mayor since 2001.

Williams told authorities he was born Don LaRose and that in the mid-1970s, he was a preacher in Indiana. He said he was abducted and brainwashed into forgetting all about his life as Don LaRose.

It was a double life he had never acknowledged, Williams said, because he didn't even realize it existed until he had recently taken a truth-serum injection.

1. Why do I suspect this didn't happen?
Sounds more like this guy abandoned his wife & kids 30 years ago,
and invented a wild explanation when he got caught.

2. OK, this is weird...
Nowhere in the body of the story does it say he claims to have been abducted by Satanists...and yet there it is in the headline. WTH?

Yahoo search Don LaRose and then view the cached version. The whole story, written by the whackjob himself.

According to the story he had a website on his old identity and the previous family found it. So he was not completely hiding from his old identity.
