Sorry, just my reaction to the AP radio news story about "Cyber Monday," the online version of "Black Friday."

1. I didn't buy anything on Black Friday
and I'm not buying anything today.

There's not a heck of a lot I even want.

2. Given all the dire news about the dollar, I really don't want to have Xmas this year.
But it's tough when you have kids. They just don't understand. :(

running through store doors like cattle, shows some people how shallow we are. I will not buy, people have their priorities messed up. really sad.

11. The way those people shop takes the fun out of shopping.
I like to shop-but only for stuff that I really need and mostly for stuff that is one of a kind treasures-found at thrift stores, estate sales, flea markets and the like.

Going to the big box stores or the mall has NEVER been my idea of fun and certainly not when a wild herd of people are elbowing me out of the way at the crack of dawn! I went shopping early on Black Friday once and that was enough. I don't like how the entire experience makes me feel.

Getting a "deal" that way is no deal at all when you sacrifice your piece of mind and integrity to do it.

That the people who participate in that kind of shopping don't feel the same way about it at the end of the day is just mind boggling to me . :wtf:

7. Well, I have been looking
but buying anything is out of the question right now. When I do buy, it's going to be very little and from a mom and pop if at all possible.

10.  am I in some new dimention or what ?
People act like Black friday has been the title of the day forever , it must be me but I only heard this phrase connected to shopping maybe 4 years ago .

Now we have Cyber Monday , this is where I am completely out of the loop . another wonderful holiday spirit packed phrase that makes me want to puke .

Just send me back to the past please , people can have their cyber monday and Black Friday , what's next , Dark Ho, Ho, Hole X-mas ?

12. I'm a devout bargain shopper. Cyber Monday never amounts to anything.
And I wouldn't DREAM of getting out of bed at 4am to fight with someone over a PlayStation on Black Friday.

Online deals come and go...you just have to check some good bargain sites to find them.
