Kucinich must be gaining traction.
The hit pieces and smears are increasing in volume. That can mean only one thing: Kucinich is polling better than expected and is impacting the anticipated results in NH and Iowa.

4. he may be polling better in NH and Iowa than expected or he
may not, but Kucinich is running for president, and as such he's not more immune from examination of what he's says and does, than any other candidate. I hope he is polling better than expected. Even 7 or 8 % would send a message to the dem party, but he's not a viable candidate, and I doubt he's impacting on the race.

7. Traction? Did He Hurt His Back???
His wife's comment about Ron Paul last weekend weren't smears...and from what I've observed it's created some angst among DK supporters. But as always in the silly season, an attack on "my" candidate is always a smear.

The race is definitely tightening and I'm glad to see that. It means the voters in those states are starting to pay attention. For those of us who remain uncommitted, this is where we'll learn what these candidates are made of. Good luck to all.

13. Well that was the point.
Why the Kucinich bashing if, as you say, it is a waste of time? The answer, in my opinion, is that Kucinich is now a factor in the much tighter Iowa and NH races. He won't win, but he may just be the difference for any of the three.

33. And if they go, the Republican is president.
In a race that's about 48 to 48 percent, that 4 percent is necessary for victory.

But, DLCers never think about that. They only think they can get some Republican voters, which they never do. When your choice is Republican or Republican-Lite, the Republican always wins.

Capiche?

11. The experts all say: too soon to tell in Iowa
as many make up their minds just before the caucus. There are a number of examples of candidates polling very low who "surge" right at the end to win. Could DK do it? Hey, stranger things have happened. If the DFA poll means anything, he could have way more support than is showing up on the radar.

43. The Mighty Wurlitzer specializes in making credible alternatives to
the corporate order look "crazy". Merely consider the case of Mr. Dean in 2004. He seems to be doing pretty well at the DNC for a "nut". They are rolling it out for Obama too this time around. You can almost tell who the DC/corporate stooges are by the fact they are never called "crazy", and you can tell who is doing well by the slurs aimed at them.

27. Sure... it has to do with the amount of money available through Fedderal Election Commission...
under the Federal Campaign Finance Law- one of the few things we have to help level the field in the primaries. The New Hampshire primary is 44 days away.

Within the window of time left (until this Thursday Nov 29th) any candidate donation will be matched by uncle Sam (doubles your donation, therefore).

So, donate if you can, it will be matched by Federal funding.

As I said, I'm voting for him to endorse his platform. I actually wouldn't want him as the dem nominee. It would be a 50 state blowout... for the repukes. Even my state wouldn't go for him in the general- I can guarantee that, and if you can't win VT what other state can you win? I'm glad he's doing well in NH, but he's not taking it by storm. I'd like to see him get 10% of the vote: that would send a message.

58. Dennis continues to increase his lead
In The poll being done by The Nation which started on 7th November, on 27th November Dennis has increased his lead over the second, Obama, from 9 to 11%. Dennis still holds 35% of the vote while Obama has dropped from 26% to 24%.

This is the position on 27th November:

Poll | posted November 7, 2007 (web only)
If the Democratic presidential primary were held today in your state, who would get your vote?

Joseph Biden
(676) 3%

Hillary Clinton
(1145) 5%

John Edwards
(2932) 13%

Christopher Dodd
(277) 1%

Mike Gravel
(2454) 10%

Dennis Kucinich
(7872) 35%

Barack Obama
(5600) 24%

Bill Richardson
(1449) 6%

It is clear from every poll that I have seen, DK leads all others.

Is someone still out there claiming I that I am stating a falsehood?
