Saddam ? Is anyone better off for it ? It seems to me like this is one of the bush benchmarks and another thing lost down the memory hole .

2. To make sure he didn't tell anyone what he knew about Rummy
Reagan, Bush and all the other dirty shit that happened from the 70s until the present.

Silence is golden to war criminals.

3. The honesty of this whole thing is George W wanted to get even with Saddam...
for putting a hit out on his daddy, and no other reason IMHO. I think that he had this in mind since that hit was mentioned long before he became President.

4. What was the point of invading his country and blowing everything the hell up?

The hanging of Saddam sickened me.

6. So Bush could show off
Somehow, if you go to the most immature, juvenile reason you can think of, it always fits for President Peter Pan, the Frat Boy Who Never Grew Up.

7. I find the entire event grotesque and sickening...
Fine, fine, fine... He was a malevolent dictator. I get all that. But, given what we (DUers) knew then and what the entire world now knows re: WMD and his intentions to negotiate exile, I find the whole episode undeniably a travesty to justice.

9. Yeah, nobody would be better off if Bu*h got hung, either. But life in prison
might seriously deter other aspiring fascist war criminals that wanted to follow in Bu*h's footsteps.

12. Georgie was missin' presidin' over all them execushuns
Like he did back in Texas. Heard it was the only way he could get a boner. S'why he led this glorious nation in execushunism. He's the Decider AND the Executioner.
