If Australia can do it, WE CAN DO IT!
Australia had a right-wing asshole as prime minister.

An unquestioning defender of the war. Maybe even MORE hawkish than the Dubster himself.

AND a media controlled by a wealthy right-wing antichrist named Murdoch.

Yet Labor beat them. In all liklihood, Aussie troops will be coming home ASAP.

If they can do it, there's hope for us.

1. We need to study this, too
Surely, there's much we can learn from the way labor ran their campaign there.

2. Study for a second, but DO it!!!
Okay, I'm beginning to get impatient after 20+ years of this crap in America. The Ronnie Raygun worship still makes me gag cotton candy and syrup.

10. I believe you are correct.

But we must work hard to get good Democrats into office, not just those with "D"s after their name. I have a feeling many great progressive dems will be elected, with the help of the netroots and local political supporters.

YAY.... go progressives!!!

13. I didn't follow the stories of how they handled water shortages
I thought this "out with Howard" story would be all over the DU-Greatest page this morning.

9. Excellent question and how are their polls taken

If you read our polls RG beats all of our candidates in some and it's a "statistical dead heat" in some.

And our Media is controlling everyone except Keith at the moment and we have the Nazi Crew --- Tweety, Timmy Glenn and Tucker 24/7.

11. In Australia you are obliged by law to vote. Alas in key states in the US, the Republicans'
judicial friends, nay, the Supremen Court, seem to have been doing a fine job helping them to suppress the Democratic vote.

But without positive thinking such as yours, the electoral villainy will never be remedied.
