It was laugh-out-loud funny to see a Washington Post reporter infamous for treating Kenneth Starr’s backstairs leaks like holy writ make a show of pretending that the now-defunct Web site mediawhoresonline. com had accused her of prostitution.

I don't like it when reporters refer to people and don't give their names.

It's sometimes necessary when the person is a secret source of important information to the journalist, but it wasn't necessary for Gene Lyons to omit Susan Schmidt's name.

but i'm not sure if we ever found out who was behind that site and why it went down. i know towards the end whoever was running the site kept taking long breaks and then they site just went down.
