Can Biden pull a Huckabee?
Huckabee made an incredible jump in the polls in a very short period of time and is now polling in second place in Iowa and could conceivably win there.

Can Biden do the same?

1. I wouldn't put it past him. He's offering some global chops at a time when
Dubya has really embarrassed our country.

My hunch is that Biden does far better in Iowa than folks think he will.

11. Lose?
Coming in second or even third in Iowa isn't losing (and won't be losing for anyone who isn't in the media's choice of 'The Big Three').

If Biden, Dodd, Richardson comes in first, second or third in Iowa - it's a win.

3. Biden would make an excellent Secretary of State in a Kucinich administration.

4. No
The reason Huckabee has climbed is because I think people are realizing he is their reliable conservative.

5. Huckabees 'surge' is primarily Tancredo and Brownback supporters! IF...
Richardson and Kucinich were to bow out I would expect a substantial shift of the numbers across the board. remember in Iowa and NH there are 12-15% undecided voters. I am not certain exactly what Bidens ultimate goal is. He is 'hoarding his campaign funds, and not spending greatly in the 3 early primaries. With too little in the bank to make a fight of it in the BIG states I am beiginning to suspect he is remaining in to bring up issues, particularly ones that the top three are reluctant to commit on. If that is so expect Joe to step out of the race early on in the BIG states and shift funds to the candidate he thinks most likely to win the general. Which of course could lead directly to some nce appointive positions after the elections. Many have speculated on the Sec of State position, but I would add that his judiciary experience might also make a SupCt nod an attractive bit as well.

We'll have to see just what the best candidate of either party does! ;)

9. Any of the 'Second Tier' candidates may end up in 1, 2, 3 for two reasons
1) There is no guarantee that 'The Big Three' are all viable in all 1,700 precincts in Iowa and 2) because of the sniping and misinformed polling going on there's no proof that any of 'The Big Three' are caucus-goers second choince should their first choice be non-viable.
