Has Bush caused the death of America and we just don't know it yet?
Edited on Thu Nov-22-07 10:19 PM by God23
A war that has lasted longer than WWII?

Home owners losing their homes to banks in record numbers?

The Dollar at an all time low?

The virtual disappearance of manufacturing jobs?

The world wide opinion of America?

The price of gasoline (here) up 70%?

This is al the result of the silent coup of 2000.

God bless America and may she rest in peace.

8. Eh, we bankrupted the USSR and they worked their way back and now
they're out of debt and overflowing with cash. Of course, they've got good oil money coming in, and I'm not sure what we have.

9. I think it's much more severe even than that....
When for the first time in American history, the Supreme Court installed its own president, America rolled over and let it happen in their name. The population of this country had neither the wit nor the inclination to understand just how vast a change this was to our system of government.

When the financial, political, and industrial power complexes that represented this country were attacked on September 11, Americans took it as an attack on themselves. When the president announced his intent to attack two countries who had nothing to do with this whole business again the American population was more interested in American Idol.

Every step of the way we had the power to stand up and make ourselves noticed to the men and women who are supposed to govern according to our will, but for each atrocity committed in our names we did nothing.

Democratic Republics only survive when citizens remain cognizant of what their elected officials are doing and hold them accountable. We as American citizens have done and continue to do nothing. We look to politicians to fix our problems when we should be out on the streets making our voices heard.

In a very real sense then, this whole mess is our fault.

14. I agree on the collective point: our representative govt acts on behalf of us
The Bush/Cheney regime are the hitmen making it happen, but the people have stood by and allowed for it, largely out of national indoctrination {which exalts indifference, ignorance and depoliticization}, media brainwashing, and a very powerful denial of the obvious.

10. Staggering forward....
... like a brain-shot rhino.

Dead on it's feet, but inertia and bulk carrying it forward.

Still dangerous - in an uncontrolled way - but the end is certain.

Bush and his corporatist buddies put that bullet into that brain.

12. I blame the American people for our demise, not bush. Bush
demonstrated his disdain for our Democracy when he stole our election in 2000 then stated outright that he would do everything in his power to prevent the Florida votes from being fully counted. He didn't hide it. He did it in broad open daylight. And the American people and media did not recognize that he telegraphed his disdain for the will of the American people. Even now, in spite of every devious act he has done since that time the great majority still does not support removal from office....according to polls.

16. Also, that "majority" fervently insist that "conspiracies" are non-existent!
Because holding these fascists accountable would be "BAD for the country." They know that to be true because Tell-a-vision told them so! Go figure, eh?

13. He has brought America into a state of civil war. I think the left and right are going to fight.
Edited on Fri Nov-23-07 08:17 AM by Perry Logan
The Republicans started the Second Civil War when they stole the 2000 election. It doesn't matter that they were too stupid to realize it.

We can never go back to business as usual, letting degenerate pedophiles defile our nation and our government. Every Republican must now be regarded as a traitor. It's either them or us.

The next Democratic President should declare martial law, bring the troops home stat, imprison all Republican officials, and begin the deportation of all Republicans from our country.

We need to give them their own country where they can do things the right-wing way--and thus die. That's the only peaceful solution to the Bush II fuck-up.
