Callers..If you have the world's shittiest phone,please don't bother calling Washington Journal.. and SCREENERS..please just tell those people to call back when they buy a phone that's not a garage sale $1 phone..:grr:


It's hard enough to get through, and then the ones who cannot be understood, manage to GET through..

And of course today is Peter Slen,,who insists on interrupting the caller as soon as they get started making their point..and then they get off their topic, and he cuts them off:grr:

and of course the guy from CATO who insisted we have the BEST health care ate up an hour of unterrupted lies..(except for the callers , 99% of whom slammed that little turd to the curb)..good going people..!!

SHAME on Cspan again, for not having a counter spin to CATO, immediately..for an hour..

What needs to happen is for a Canadian family with X amount of income, and 2 kids sitting at a table with an American couple with 2 kids..all circumstances similar EXCEPT for the health care..and let them talk openly about their comparable health care and costs...

Of course the CATO guy harped on the COST, but he never mentioned that with a nationalized health care service, the amount that people pay NOW, would "go away", and the amount of extra taxes would be indexed to income, so MOST people would pay less than they are now..

1. A friend of mine in Canada

a single woman, like myself, lives in a small town and is unemployed. Last month she woke up one night and couldn't breathe. Her brother took her to the hospital where they checked her out. Then they put her on a helicopter, flew her to a major hospital in Ottawa and she was there for 10 days. They discovered she only had one half of a functioning kidney. They put her on tons of pills and she is much better now. And it didn't cost her one cent. Not for any of it.

Sigh.
