We have an executive branch totally out of control
and we have a majority of the people here in America who I believe agrees this needs some attention and we have a Speaker of the House who will not do anything concerning this. My question is since we know about NSA and the spying on us Americans by this whitehouse would it be correct to say that maybe we have a Speaker of the House who is being blackmailed by this whitehouse. What else is there to explain this lack of leadership. when does personal peace trump our national security

3. I know, do we have no recourse
this battle of spying on us was fought once many years ago and now we are expected to just roll over and do nothing, I just don't understand why no one is mentioning the B word

4. So true, so true. Plus, it's the 'team players' who get a board
positions with a great American corporations, not those who believe in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

5. Correct in what sense? It's only one of many speculative possibilities...
And this one assumes Pelosi would like to do something about it but is prevented from doing so by agents of the Whitehouse.

I haven't seen any evidence that Pelosi wants to do anything but avoid it.
I haven't seen any evidence that anyone other than her own free-agency is involved in her decision.
I haven't seen any evidence that an unseen agency which hasn't been seen black-mailing her is from the Whitehouse.

Yes, her position is puzzling and maybe more frustrating than puzzling. But 'seems to me' it's just as easy to say that Nancy, who declares this choice, actually made the choice herself.

7. Everyone is thinking it....
But, it isn't a logical conclusion from the evidence, it is a speculation that attempts to bridge the gap in the evidence. And it isn't a particularly parsimonious speculation, it involves at least 3 assumptions.

The key feature of the speculation is that it places malicious intent within the Whitehouse, where we as opposition to the Whitehouse expect that maliciousness to reside.

If we said she was doing it because of Jewish, Catholic, or Native American agents the alarm bells would sound and the weakness of the logic would be quickly revealled by a small army of posters...

My point is it is speculation and if we are speculation it is easier and more parsimonious to say Pelosi is doing this on her own.
