Bush: "Musharraf Hasn't Crossed the Line"
I'm watching right now this bit of the Charlie Gibson interview.

Okay, right now: a hearty, advance "fuck you" to anyone who wants to start an anti-Chavez thread in the future.

11. Don't be surprised if it doesn't happen.
A year to go and all it will take is one MAJOR Terra attack.

13. and I believe it is going to happen.
there is no reason to believe that they would circumvent the Constitution, establish a shadow government, give training to a para military group, issue presidential directives and then leave the Democrats to feast at the table of established precedent. Hang on for the bumpy ride. Peace

5. W
Is so out of touch with reality it's pretty frightening.

Actually, I bet W's got a massive hard-on watching what Musharraf is doing in Pakistan, and W's stroking himself and thinking "Gee, now if ONLY I could get away with doing that!"

I think that IF W could do it he would, he has a Totalitarian-sort of personality, he'd LOVE to be a Dictator....we mustn't forget that more than once he's openly expressed how he'd like to be a Dictator.

Musharraf needs hauling off by the seat of his pants, what he's doing is 100% unacceptable on ALL levels....Jaysus IF this were happening in Iran instead of Pakistan, W would be screeching and chest-thumping all over the place and it'd be Bombs Away on Tehran, the fucking little hypocrite.

6. You mean the line that moves everytime he does something more oppresive?
Of course that will never happen. I don't know how the repubs pull this shit off because if this was a democratic president he would be getting his head kick in by the GOP and rightly so.

8. But but but.....
Musharraf is "our" Ally....dontcha know!!!!

So what's a LITTLE repression and throwing bunches of lawyers and journalists into jail AND repeatedly putting Opposition Leaders under House Arrest?

:sarcasm:

21. Musharraf should be really careful, IMO. He should remember
what happens to those who are allied with the US. Saadam comes to mind.

20. It's okay to arrest your Supreme Court and replace them
with people who say you CAN serve another term????? All this uniform, schmuniform, shit. With or without clothes, I think that was the beef justice had with the emperor. Mushie-Mush is out saying democracy isn't as important as he is, and it's not over Bushie-Bush's line. God help us. It's a nightmare.
