Scott McClellan points finger at bu$h* & Cheney in CIA leak--IMPEACH NOW
Edited on Tue Nov-20-07 05:15 PM by spanone
what the FUCK is it going to take to investigate these CRIMINALS?????????????????????

WASHINGTON -- Former White House press secretary Scott McClellan blames President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney for efforts to mislead the public about the role of White House aides in leaking the identity of a CIA operative.

In an excerpt from his forthcoming book, McClellan recounts the 2003 news conference in which he told reporters that aides Karl Rove and I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby were "not involved" in the leak involving operative Valerie Plame.

"There was one problem. It was not true," McClellan writes, according to a brief excerpt released Tuesday. "I had unknowingly passed along false information. And five of the highest-ranking officials in the administration were involved in my doing so: Rove, Libby, the vice president, the president's chief of staff and the president himself."

11. Fitzgerald told Congress he would be glad to share his information
if subpoena'd. That is the ONLY way he can release it.
I wonder why he hasn't been subpoena'd yet?

5. This all came out in Libby's trial, right?
And it probably wasn't true then, either.

7. Just as Nixon didn't order the Watergate break-in
He was guilty of obstruction of justice in trying to cover it up.
If there is convincing evidence Bush and Cheney did the same, then
they indeed deserve a similar fate.

8. Fuck Scott McClellan. He should be sent to the clink as well.
These assholes and their dirty little secrets that they keep to themselves until they can get a book deal. Enjoy the blood money.

9. I can't believe I'm sticking up for Scott McClellan, even a little, but....
The woman who was talking about this with Thom Hartmann on AAR this morning said that Scott was the nicest guy in the world (and was out of his element in the rough-and-tumble environment of Washington), he honestly didn't know that Rove and Libby (et al) were involved, and he's now figuring that, since the Bush crime family (those were either her words or Thom's) isn't going to do anything for him in the future, he can at least clear his name.

I'm not necessarily saying that his motives are pure (would he have kept his mouth shut if he thought he'd benefit from his connections with Bush? My guess is yes, but it's unfair of me to assume that). But again, the woman (not a Republican!) speaking with Thom said, again, that he was the nicest guy in the world and that he didn't know about the cover-up.

12. I've believed all along that the Plame outing was done at the
insistence of Caligula. He wanted to get even with Wilson. He's a mean, spiteful little bastard.

14. There was an Iraq study group. Rove was a member.
Does anybody serious believe that when Wilson's wife's name and position became known to the group (as ti certainly did--they met once a week), that they didn't had the logistics concerning how to leak to the MASTER of such things????

Rove is sitting in the middle of the spider's web of manipulation and deceit. He told who to leak to who and how. Dollars to donuts, etc.

16. Did Scott testify about this to the grand jury?
If so, seems like the ball was dropped big time. If not, then can he be in any legal jeopardy divulging damaging info after the fact?

This case is one big old train wreck. I doubt justice will ever be served and those who committed this vile crime will ever be punished. *sigh*
