Fox News Host Endorses Tasering Defenseless Female Protesters

Posted by GottaLaff , Brave New Films at 3:00 PM on November 19, 2007.

Oh, those lazy, hazy, tase-y days of autumn:

A Fox News morning host has a novel idea to handle those pesky Code Pink protesters who disrupt political events and Congressional hearings: 50,000 volts of electricity.

This from the station that's also pushing Three-Wives Rudy. What exquisite family values they continue to display!

Brian Kilmead shared his ever-so-evolved views on crowd control Monday morning in a Fox & Friends discussion of a Code Pink-disrupted Hillary Clinton speech. His answer to annoying anti-war types? Tasers or Billy clubs.

So much for compassionate conservatives.

{Brian} Kilmead's Taser-lust came one day after a 20-year-old Maryland man died after being shocked by police.

The world's not violent enough. We need more. And who better to condone brutality than Faux News?

The Fox hosts used the disruption to remind viewers of Code Pink's habit of disrupting Capitol Hill hearings, and they re-played the famous "don't Tase me bro" sound-bite from a University of Florida student earlier this year. The student's screams seemed to delight the hosts, and Kilmead clearly wanted to hear more of them.

If he wants more, he could always volunteer to be on the receiving end to satisfy his insatiable lust.

"I would be for Tasing anyone in Code Pink," he says. "I'm pro-Pink Tasing."

What a fine, upstanding paragon of unbiased reporting. What a rational individual! Be proud.

See the video at link~

And as a side note, somebody might want to remind the female host that Seinfeld episodes rerun daily.

7. Kilmeade is NOT a journalist; he is a morning show host with a focus on sports
Why would you expect anything more from him than what you get?

19. Respectfully disagree.
Brian Kilmeade is a tiny, itty-bitty excuse for a man. He is a coward.

8. 17 posts and you post this Free Republic like "joke"
Ted Kennedy likely does more for the Democratic cause every day before breakfast than you have ever done. This is indefensible.

12. I can be new and I can have my own opinions, thanks
There was nothing about having to agree with everyone, having to adore all those in power. I'll speak my truth and I'll accept your/anyone's response. I'm not afraid of dispute.

I have Dems I like but I don't like TK because he is nothing like his brothers. Bobby was the greatest loss this country suffered in the 20th century. re: TK and me in balance - I never let someone die while I worried about my career.

That's my opinion.

I have noted your disapproval of my humor. I'll consider the point before posting more.

17. You and your sisters are fine, but that cousin of your's!!!! :)
Ok, I can like folks I disagree with. But I don't TELL them they are wrong, I use the discussion to get them to have that idea.

I do have some bold opinions but I'll take the heat for expressing them. If I say something that you think is wrong then point out where, give me some link to check out. Try to change my mind, because that is what I'll try to do when discussing things with you!

13. waterboarding is NOT drowning....
It may have been an extreme comment to shake people up but the fact is drowning leaves you dead. waterboarding causes the body to respond as if they were drowning, but not killing you. The fact that Code Pink and others have committed waterboarding on volunteers to show what it is like shows that they don't believe it kills!

Your comment: "Faux News endorses waterboarding" is significantly different from "Faux News edorses drowning people".

20. But waterboarding is torture so why does it sound like you are defending it?
Do you support torture?

21. So you are saying that Code Pink supports torture since they committed waterboarding?
Edited on Thu Nov-22-07 04:37 PM by Nuntius_Barbari
After all, if I point out the semantical difference between waterboarding and drowning and you draw from that I'm supporting torture when I said no such thing... Then Code Pink's actual waterboarding recently must support torture since they have engaged in it multiple times!

Intriguing thought.

22. Gandhi went on a hunger strike, does that mean he supported starving other people to near death?
Edited on Thu Nov-22-07 07:21 PM by MN Against Bush
You really need to take a logic class before you speak, the fact that Code Pink may have waterboarded volunteers does not mean they support torture anymore than Gandhi starving himself would suggest that he would want others to go hungry. Sometimes people do things to themselves to prove a point, it does not equal support for the policy.

On edit: I noticed you did not answer my question. Do you believe waterboarding is torture or not? Are you willing to condemn the practice of waterboarding? It still seems to me you are still defending the practice when you are trying to point to Code Pink and saying "well they do it too". So give me a simple yes or no answer, do you believe that international law is correct in defining waterboarding as a form of torture?
