Alice Powell who held state office in Illinois, asked Obama to file to run from the seat she was vacating while she ran for a higher seat. When she was defeated, she asked Obama to vacate his run so she could retain the seat. Not only did he cover his run, he filed suit so her declaration to run would be overturned. And stood silent and said he was a bystander.
