This may be the reason why Gore is not running in 2008: he is aiming for something bigger.

In his book, The Assault on Reason, he links the CO2-crisis to the Oil Price, he states Iraq is a War for Oil and profiteering and refers to the Nixon era and the abuse of authority. He wants democracy returned to US, The People.

If he leads on CO2, he leads on all the directly relating topics as well.
If has global reach on C02, he leads globally on all inequalities that depend on it.

We are in this fight, together.
Gore leads Global!

As I have said on Current to him : Americans are not the only ones who want you to run.

that's why Al Gore championed the Internet while he was in Congress to begin with and as Vice-President. I also believe that's why Internet anonymity is being attacked today by the likes of Karl Rove, they want to do to the Internet bloggers what they've done to the corporate media journalists, turn them in to lap dogs, beholden to their bosses especially regarding political opinion. The war on terror is the guise they use to invade the American People's privacy in every way, shape or form to make them more vulnerable to pressure. 14. I'm sticking with him too. I will not judge if he chooses not to run.

I just think that if he is to run now would be a fantastic time for us all if he did get into the 2008 race. We'd have to fix the machines though so that they couldn't steal another election from him. I believe the numbers would be too great for that but I'm sick of losing races that the whole world knows we should have won hands down. We won more seats the last election but we were robbed.
