Florida will sue Georgia over water

Feds allow plan to reduce water flow from Lanier
November 16th, 2007

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has decided that the flow from Lake Lanier can be reduced, but the flow cannot go down by 16% as first planned (view the PDF that they released). Florida Gov. Charlie Crist has said that Florida may sue if less water is sent to them, so expect that to happen shortly.

-snip-
-----------------

they can sue until they turn blue - the water will continue to disappear at a fast rate. the area has had very dry air lately that evaporates the water at a faster rate.

6. I Like it!
You are correct! Whats with this Namby-Pamby crap? Any good Republican must vote for Civil War. War is good.. just ask Glenn Beck? Just ask Bill O'Reilly or Rush? How did our water get in their Lake in the first place? Isn't it just like those "Rag-heads" to start trouble? Just look at what they did.... how did our oil get under their sand? Jesus will sort it out.

4. As a Georgian I have to say
what seems fair is to make the flow downstream on the Chattahoochie equal to the flow of the Chattahoochee before it gets to Lake Lanier. Whatever nature would provide. Atlanta should not be taking out any more than nature provides and neither should Florida. Seems like common sense to me - probably why I'll never be elected to anything.
