Assuming you are not too PC to use the word "hate"
is there anyone in the modern history of the United States you hate more than George W. Bush. If so, whom?

3. Probably Nixon. Bastard started all this crap.
And I was younger then. My hate was more passionate, more energetic, so much more physically, viscerally active. And there was a draft. The lives of my friends were directly at stake.

I remember people being so glad to get rid of Johnson, but I also remember telling someone that we were going to hate Nixon more. I wasn't the only one who knew his "secret plan to end the war" was a lie.

He ruined our healthcare system, opened relations with cheap labor China (his great achievement, thanks so much), and kept the cold war on boil. I will forever regret that he did not die in prison.

It's just that Bush is taking Reagan's neo-con shit to the extreme, and throwing some torture into the mix. :grr:

6. A qualified no
Junior arouses my contempt as well as my proper hatred of all evil things.
I despise cheney as well, but would approach the creature carefully.
Reagan I despised almost as much as I do junior.
I guess the thing I despise most about that particular republican criminal is the way the freepers keep trying to canonize him. He wasn't fit to clean FDR's cigarette holder.

I didn't laugh. Much.

But seriously, we're not the side that does that shit. It's the American right that's all about the killin' the folks that need killin'.

We're the ones who clean up the mess and get everyone back to work.

Just proves what I've been saying for a while: You can totally disagree with someone on one subject, but 9 times out of 10 you can find *something* that you can agree on with that same person....

Thanks for the laugh, Perry Logan...

10. cheney's the only other possibility.
I'm not a hater, but these two have me enraged every single day, and after seven years of that it starts to feel like hate. The arrogance, the incompetence, the corruption, the dishonesty - it is so overwhelming that some days I really don't know what to feel.

Let's just get these awful jerks out of office ASAP!

13. I never used the word
nor allowed my children to; however, these past 7 years have taught me how to hate  with a passion! A feeling that only hurts the hater, not the hatee. That said, I HATE GWB with a passion, and Deadeye follows a close 2nd. May they both rot in Hell for eternity! That, of course, after being tried at the Hague then locked up for the rest of their miserable lives.

14. But I don't hate Bush.
I honestly don't. I have no human feelings toward him one way or the other -- except maybe a little nausea and a lot of revulsion. How do you hate an empty suit ? A shill ? I hate the people who are yanking his chain, and destroying my country. I hate groups who put him in office. But I don't hate Dubya. Bush is a cypher. A nonentity.

It's the corrupt power that backs him that is real and that we should all hate.

17. I agree with you, if I hate anyone it's the voters who choose to put
him in office (or gave him enough votes to let them steal the election, if you will).

I hate the electoral college for helping put him in office in 2000, and the voters for letting him have another turn in 2004. How such a large segment of the U.S. population cannot see right through his crap is disturbing.

16. What if
it has nothing to do with PC, which I don't give a flying fuck about, and honestly has to do with choosing not to engage, or indulge, in hate?

What if I oppose hate, hate speech, hate crimes, or hatefulness on principle?

What if I think that indulging in hate and hate speech is what leads to bullying, harassment, hate crimes, polarization, and the lack of empathy so rampant in our culture?

What if I think that hate is the real enemy to all, and that an invitation to hate invites this board to "be" that enemy?

Obviously, I don't hate anyone "more" than GWB, since I don't hate him, or anyone else.

I reserve use of that word for only those few people that I would be willing to personally kill. All the others I dislike. Nazi'a hated Jews, Hutus hated tutsi. That's the implication of the word "hate".

24. Non-poets who write "poetry"
Edited on Mon Nov-19-07 09:59 AM by cgrindley
it's a technical field, folks. Stay the hell away unless you know what you're doing. I recommend a good caning for anyone who writes a poem about: a) child abuse; b) their period; c) being bullied; d) a stillborn child or someone who died young after doing nothing overly noteworthy or died old after a long and banal life of insufferable mediocrity. The punishment should be dramatically increased if it a) rhymes; b) end stops the lines; c) references Trent Reznor.

People should no more share their wretched "poetry" than they should jerk off in public.

Leave poetry to professionals.

There is a very long list of people I hate at least (if not more) than George W. Bush.

They include:

Joseph McCarthy
John Foster Dulles
Ronald Reagan
Andrew Jackson
James K. Polk
Richard Nixon

Don't get me started.

32. Cher, Bob Hope, Oprah, Michael Irvin, the Red Hot Chili Peppers....
C.C. DeVille, Chevy Chase, Sean Hannity, Darcy Tucker, Sinbad. There's ten and they aren't even people I personally know and hate. I could go on. But being number one hundred on my hate list is like being number one on a hundred different people's. I don't hate Bush as much as I hate the ones who pull his strings and send him out to push their fascist policies. He's bad but he's also stupid and gullible. I would have to put Poppy and the entire PNAC cabal ahead of him on the list.
