Watching Mill Moyers Journal, and his first story is on media consolidation.

This guy looks like a fucking punk!

Acts like one too.

Power to our neighbor brothers and sisters to the north !! The FTC has an error in the premise. The financial failure of existing media (which I don't believe for a minute) would be just what is needed. The media whores are the single greatest threat to our democracy! Do we need to ask why the First Amendment is first? Onward Cascadia ! I'm honored to call you family!!

3. What really pisses me off is that punk boy gets to override the many
voices shouting out against what he wants to do.

This move has got to be stopped.

4. We use to say, "turn on and drop out." How about a new paradigm...

Turn off and tune out. Guerrilla press...guerrilla radio. I'm looking into low power fm. I know I can crack the media dome in my own community of 870. It's not many, but I'll tell you, they ALL would benefit from an episode of Acute Involuntary Reality Syndrome. I'm thinking local...in places like Seattle, it means neighborhoods. DU is an important resource, which I've only recently discovered. Unfortunately, old coots like me don't know how to get the most out of the internet. That's why the merger of youth and elders is so critical.

5. Agreed.
I'm often amazed at what my daughter and son-in-law and what they can do on the internet. I've gotten rather savvy over the years, but I'm still behind them.
