4. You're SO lucky! When I visited my Repub brother last week

he had to tell Hillary jokes. The minute I challenged him--we were fighting. Then I told him we had more in common than he knew because I don't support Hillary. Doesn't mean I want to listen to jokes about her.
Be glad you don't have to deal with ignorant relatives. It's such a pain.

It only took one email.

They sent me one protesting the Supreme Ct decision against public, school sanctioned prayer at football games in Texas, out of Santa Fe, TX (A shit hole south of Houston, towards Angleton).

They thought that was just terrible that they couldn't pray at football games, because as we all know, football is a sacred occasion and a civil religion in Texas.

I sent them the quote from Matthew about going in your closet and praying to your Father in secret;
and then attached the ENTIRE SUPREME COURT OPINION in the Santa Fe case in my Reply email.

No more right wing crapola after that.

I don't have any RW relatives or friends. I always feel so terrible when I read about the family fights over politics.

My family never discusses politics or religion at holidays, it's sort of an unspoken rule. After the initial shock my parents now just ignore the fact that am no longer a Christian and we talk about more pleasant things.

We have so little precious time with family these days that it is a shame to waste it arguing,
