Mark My Words: Karl Rove Will Incriminate Himself on National TV on a Paid Gig
Edited on Fri Nov-16-07 01:48 PM by CorpGovActivist
Rove's reminisces about how he spent his time at the White House - on the taxpayers' dime - is going to come back to haunt him.

Rove spent years wisely avoiding the media. As my grandfather used to say: "Give an idiot enough rope, and he'll hang himself with it."

Rove's greed for paid gigs will be his downfall. I'd lay hard money in Vegas on it.

Waxman just got discoverable evidence of another possible violation of the Hatch Act, perpetrated by Rove: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hatch_Act_of_1939

If he helps out in bringing justice to himself, I'm sure not going to stop him!

7. Verily, verily, I say unto you: pride goeth before ... a fall.
(For the record, it's “Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall” (Proverbs 16:18; cf. I Corinthians 10:12). Guess the full quote went the way of that "guilding the lily" business.)

8. Well, that's entirely possible. I'll even agree it's LIKELY, if he starts appearing live.
But, so what? It's not as if any CONSEQUENCES could be
expected to follow such an admission.

It would be just another tempest in a blogspot.

15. MSM will never turn on their cover
Rove was their cover "he's a GENIUS" "He intimidates us" for ever taking W seriously and for not reporting on his history or the outrageousness of their BS.

Rove would have to come out and admit to killing his mother ;-) and then MAYBE

24. Many Are 7 Years...
... but more serious crimes usually extend that.

Plus, if a District Court determines that there was active fraud and/or concealment, the statute can be "tolled" - effectively rewinding the clock - until the fraud/concealment ceased, or until the breakthrough happened that allowed it to be overcome.

His ego and arrogance will eventually outpace his ability to keep his secrets.

30. What? Never Heard of Burrelle's Media Monitoring?
Edited on Sat Nov-17-07 12:59 PM by CorpGovActivist
You can set up media monitoring for every type of media, tagged by subject, topic, person, etc.:

http://www.burrellesluce.com/

VERY expensive, but even the Intelligence Community uses them for reliability.

Ratings, ratings, ratings: if he cannot speak candidly, he'll be dropped quickly.

35. Wish I could agree but
everyone with a functioning brain already knows what this bastard did and what consequences have there been? Plus , on the day he really does incriminate himself, some starlet will enter rehab with a new haircut and no underwear, and no one will even notice Rove. Geez, I hope I'm wrong; I really am tired of being the jaded cynic, but every time in the last 6 plus years that I've thought, a-ha, NOW we've got em, not a damn thing happens. But again, nothing would make me happier than for me to be wrong and you to be right.
