I did read that Edwards "...criticized warmongress Hillary for supporting the evil Lieberman-Kyl resolution, which in effect gives Bush the OK to aggress against Iran. She refused to answer him, brushing it off as an attack from the 'Republican playbook'". Is that so?

9. I thought Hillary gave great answers
--and for the first time in a long time --she also came off as warm and funny.

I'm still supporting Dennis in the primaries, but Hill has moved up for me considerably.

a third option might be Biden.

I have absolutely zero trust in Edwards, and have never been impressed with Obama.

15. Yeah....
...if you're into obfuscation and empty platitudes she hauled ass!

She's our nation's first warmongering crybaby. She has the audacity
to vote along with Bush, Lieberman and the rest of the neocons on Kyl/Lieberman--
then when Edwards brings this truth to light, she can't defend her vote.

Instead she whines and throws out some hilarious, "That's mean!! That's
right out of the Republican attack handbook!!!".

Excuse me Warmongering Hillary---since when is holding politicians accountable
for their reckless propagation of the neocon warmongering machine--"a play out of
the Republican handbook"?

Edwards should have verbally knocked her out of her pantsuit after that rehearsed,
disingenuous deflection.

Hillary will never be able to defend her warmongering---but boy can she whine
and play the indignation card when someone demands accountability for it!

Not everyone owns a tee-vee, by choice. I didn't watch it either. I don't see how asking a simple question on a discussion-board means someone is some kind of operative.

7. "Wolf Blitzer is a buffoon."
That pretty much sums it up for me as far as he's concerned.

As for our Democrats, there was much to like all around.

Unless you are one of the Republican hopefuls. Then there was reason for pause.

that all of the Dems looked good compared to the GOP. Was that your assessment?

I didn't watch either, had to work late.

25. Hi, Ozark Dem. Yes. They done real good in and of themselves but
as opposed to any potential GOP nominee, they REALLY done good.

Blitzer was his usual inconsequential self. He's kind of a male chatty-Cathy doll who wants to be the "dean of news journalists" but he just doesn't have the chops. I've listened to Jim Lehrer's interviews of politicians for years and Blitzer will never be in that league.

He's missed his calling. CNN is the worse for it, too.

Our boys and girl did themselves proud. No big mistakes, hardly any little ones, some elbowing under the basket but overall no blood. An undecided voter watching would have found much to like in all our people.

The long-term take-away, I felt, was that it shows the intensity of the nomination race and is likely to result in a further narrowing of the polling in Iowa and New Hampshire.

16. According To This... 'Security more important than rights: Clinton' - AFP
Security more important than rights: Clinton
(AFP)

16 November 2007

<snip>

LAS VEGAS, Nevada - Democratic White House front-runner Hillary Clinton Thursday warned US national security should trump the key foreign policy goal of promoting human rights, in a critical campaign debate.

Her top rival for the Democratic nomination Barack Obama argued meanwhile that the two concepts were not mutually exclusive, in a heated debate segment sparked by a question on Pakistan’s political crisis.

Clinton was asked whether she agreed US national security was more important than promoting human rights abroad.

‘I agree with that completely. The first obligation of the president of the United States is to protect and defend the United States of America,’ she said.’That doesn’t mean that it is to the exclusion of other interests.’

The debate sparked fresh speculation as to the direction of President George W. Bush’s democracy agenda once he leaves office, and the weight placed by US foreign policy on the balance between political reform abroad and US security.

23. I see where she's going with this
The GOP owned pollsters have pretty much declared the only issues that the GOP has to run on against Dems are fear based - terror and immigration.

It looks like Hillary is trying to neutralize their terror card by playing it herself.

I think an even better way to neutralize them is to exploit fear of terrorism, etc. by focusing on overextending ourselves militarily - marshalling our money and defense assets to focus only on real threats, not spreading ourselves too thin on missions that can be handled through diplomatic efforts.

30. They all did okay with some bad moments
No surprises, really. Nor any real substance.

Hillary held her own. Obama was basically calm although he lost it a couple of times. Edwards was on offense. Biden was Biden. Dodd had some good answers. Richardson was better than usual. Kucinich was a justifiably angry truth teller, when he was allowed to speak.
