Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Connecticut, warned that jihadists could win the majority of votes in free elections in a number of countries.

"Be careful what you wish for," Dodd told the audience at Thursday's CNN Democratic debate. "If there were totally free elections, in many of the countries we're talking about today, the Islamic Jihad or the Islamic Brotherhood would win 85 percent of the vote."
Dodd also told the audience that national security outweighs human rights in priorities for the president.


I'm not sure I understand Richardsons view? security is more important unless he was president than it would be the other way around?????

Richardson emphasized Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf's need to restore the constitution, the supreme court and let former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto run in a free election.
When asked to clarify by CNN's Wolf Blitzer, Richardson reaffirmed his position about security and said, "It's not just about what Halliburton wants in Iraq. It's also about our values and freedom, equality. Our strength is not just military and economic. Our strength as a nation is our values, quality, freedom, democracy, human rights. That's where we're strong."

CNN even mentioned that Hillary couldn't wait to give her response after Richardson's.

This answer came way too easily without much contemplation. If only the idiotic leaders would realize that in the longterm our national security depends upon our moral leadership. I'm sure there is a price to pay for up to 1 million dead Iraqi innocents.
