Name all the Candidates Tonight Who Called Out the NeoCons By Name?
There was only one --John Edwards.

And Edwards hit all the Progressive issues that the next President is going to have to address.

And how many Progressive issues did Hillary Clinton hit tonight? Did she call out the NeoCons? Did she speak out against the corrupt corporate backed system in Washington, D.C.? Did she speak out on restoring constitutional rights in this country, ending torture, closing Gitmo? Did she speak out in favor of returning the government to the people and standing up to the corporate interests?

The fact she had Backers in the Debate Hall to boo on command had nothing to do with the message John Edwards delivered tonight. He has thrown down the gauntlet in favor of the people. Where does Hillary stand on that?

1. Kucinich might have if he had more than a 15 second commercial in a 30 minute soap.

2. It felt like Dennis spoke about as much as John did by the end
I felt Hillary got twice the time. I could easily be wrong, but it sure felt that way, and my goodness, Bill Richardson sounded horrible! When he had to follow Biden's eloquence near the end, and he went on and on saying the same thing, I started feeling bad for him, because he looked amateurish.

18. THANK YOU FOR THIS!!! as I felt. n/t
Richardson's talking was half mumbling and it's sad to see him with 5 more minutes compared to the much more sharp Biden. Obama's time is unbelievable, and I felt like he, Clinton and Richardson had more time. I apologize for thinking Edwards & Kuch were close on time, somewhat, but not enough to say, "close".

that got big applause. as it SHOULD. he dares to go there, and that's part of the reason I like him!

9. I so love that Edwards said "neocon"...
Edited on Fri Nov-16-07 12:22 AM by TwoSparkles
I can only imagine how much every politician is strongarmed
and bullied by Bush and the neocons. How dare anyone call
them out for anything, right? Edwards did it. Major kudos
for him.

I was also impressed that Obama talked about restoring Habeas.

I noticed Hillary was the silent pantsuit while those important
ideas were being bandied about.

11. Clinton called out the biggest neo-con of them all--as did Biden
That was Bu*h. I am so glad that Edwards is finally throwing down the gauntlet in favor of the people. The problem with him is that he is so hypocritical in his condemnation of Clinton. He has completely attempted to change his spots--as if he is putting on a show as a different character while condemning Clinton for changing her mind.

13. Where have you been? Edwards has been standing up for people over corporations forever...
Just because you type something does not make it so.

And for the record, Hillary tends to try out various 'trial balloon' answers before she eventually settles on a position --and even then she is apt to change again(ie. her answer on the issuance of drivers licenses to illegal aliens).

14. Mr. Blackhatjack
you sound as angry tonight as Edwards has lately. Perhaps because you saw that Edwards did not do well tonight and showed that, when pressured, he falters. Clinton showed herself to be stronger and scrappier.

Edwards has not been for the people of corporations forever. I suggest you go look at his record in the Senate.

15. Another entry from 'bizzaro world' where up is down, left is right, and right is wrong...
Hillary did not win. Edwards bested her, and you know it --even though you won't admit it.

You are good at making allegations that you cannot prove --because there is no evidence to back them up.

16. "bizzaro world?" Nice grown up conversation
Was it really not evident to you that Edwards lost tonight? My guess is that his campaign will soon implode.

Isn't it past your bedtime?

17. We're still waiting for the proof to back up your earlier allegations... waiting...waiting...
A hit and run poster just throws out false allegations and leaves when pressed for proof and exposed.

Look at his senate record. I can't read for your. Perhaps you could leave your basement and ask your mother to help you.

21. Bush isn't a neo-con.
Neo-conservatism is a political ideology/philosophy. Bush has neither. He's a vessel filled with neo-con offal, but is himself an empty space.

Just sayin'.
