a federal grand jury charged Bonds with four counts of perjury and one count of obstruction of justice.

After Libby was denied bail during his appeal process on July 2, 2007, President Bush commuted Libby's 30-month federal prison sentence, calling it "excessive," but he did not change the other parts of the sentence and their conditions.<17> The commutation left in place the felony conviction, the $250,000 fine, and the terms of probation.<16><17>

1. Is this ridiculous or what?
Bushco goes ape-shit and the Democratic congress supports that, but if a baseball player lies about steroid abuse it's a big deal. Give me a FUCKING BREAK! Forget about Bonds! I don't give a damn about him or baseball! Lock up Bush and Cheney and the rest of that homicidal crew! If this congress does that, then they will get my attention!

3. Kicking this because it's so telling.
Seriously, if Bonds is convicted and sentenced, there will be no difference between the two. Even the dumbest Faux News viewer should be able to see the gross hypocrisy.

Look -- I can't stand Bonds. But this should point out how much of a stain the Libby commutation (and eventual pardon) really is on our judicial system.
