4. Oh get a clue...CNN played it to Hillary and she STILL screwed up.
She weaseled on Iran AGAIN and on Social Security AGAIN.

Hillary's the one with egg on her face.

6. she is treated like a butterfly and if someone blows a gust of wind her way
her people cry.

edwards says she supports the structure of DC. is that a smear, or is she in fact the highest recipient of defense, insurance, gambling etc money of all candidates on either side of the aisle?

it's the latter, but she claims that those who are simply describing her positions as 'slinging mud straight from the repub playbook'. give me a break.

9. Wolfie gave Hillary a Pass on Her Answer Re: Drivers Licenses For Illegals...
After 5 different iterations regarding this issue, she changed her position since the last debate, gives a one word answer AND WOLFIE DOES NOT FOLLOW UP?

Give me a break.

10. As long as they have a story, they're happy.
They can exaggerate, embellish, and even invent stories out of whole cloth -- but as long as they have some little dramas to make out of election campaigns (rather than talking about the issues), they're happy.

13. The media never accepts responsibility for anything
so they'll never notice egg or anything else on their face.

They've essentially been smearing Hillary over fabricated bs for the past few weeks, exactly like they did with Al Gore. It's just a taste of how they're going to treat Democrats when they regain power in Washington.

They don't even see how wrong they were in what they did to Bill Clinton, or Al Gore, or in support of GW Bush, or three trillion in tax cuts for the wealthy, or strongly promoting an illegal war, or reporting on America's new torture methods as if it were anything more than a policy decision, or anything else their brown-nosing of the fascist right has wrought.

So the philosophical question remains: Does egg really end up on the media's face, if no one in the media wants to see it?

14. I haven't picked a candidate yet, but I thought she, Dodd and Richardson did very well.
Richardson, particularly, kicked it up a notch from previous performances, I thought. And old Dodd, hablando el espanol como un nativo, he did well on that question. I thought Biden did "OK-to-good." I was frankly less impressed with Edwards and Obama this time--I'm not sure what it was that gave me that sense; I'll have to watch again to pin that down. Kucinich gave his standard responses, but he did better than usual because he actually got a few meaty questions this time around, as opposed to fluffy bullshit UFO Potatohead Russert BS.

I didn't think it was a bad debate at all. The "questions from the audience" bit was kinda agonizing. They should let them video the questions AHEAD of time, BEFORE the debate starts, so we don't have to hear the labored, stumbling, twitchy words, and the heavy breathing of a nervous person on live TV as they struggle to get the question (usually way too fucking long of one, too) out. They could have had the interviewer stand them up, do the little back and forth, and then say "Now let's go to the question you told us you wanted to ask" and throw it to a TAPE. It would speed things up.

I think everyone who has a particular candidate will come away with predisposed thinking their candidate either won, placed or showed--no one totally sucked; they were all reasonably well prepared.
