Who was the Loser?
I think most of them did very well, but I feel like John Edwards was the loser. Even if he made sense, I think it will be perceived that he went at her too hard especially with the boos he received from a clearly pro-Clinton crowd. And that line about throwing factual mud will be replayed many times.

A smug, self righteous smile, but a smile nevertheless. It seldom leaves his face, no matter what he's talking about.

42. Please
Ghouliani is appallingly ignorant when it comes to issues of national security and foreign policy. And he certainly isn't going to last very long in any debate involving character.

He can still bullshit his way into winning like the Chimp did but that doesn't make him a great debater.

Oh, in tonight's debate..........Richardson was off his game, Kucinich was subdued as was Dodd...........Edwards had no spark and Obams stumbled repeatedly.

Biden won............Clinton won with her redemption/recovery aspect. I still cringe with the Iraq War vote...like nails on the chalk board....for a Clinton Supporter/ as I am.

39. I thought Edwards was weak tonight. As for the others.
Clinton was her usual well prepared--some might say too well prepared self
as she went about artfully not answering the questions. Oh never mind, CNN says she won. I must have been watching a different debate.

Biden and Dodd scored points on the issues. Did someone give Biden a drink before the debate--he was pretty funny.

Dennis Kucinich did everyone a huge service by pointing out the obvious. Naturally he will be ignored.

Obama came out swinging and never let up. He took some risks and scored some points. I like his more aggressive style.

Richardson also had some great moments tonight. For once I was not disappointed.

47. Clinton was the loser.
Edwards was telling it like it is. He gave the best clear, succinct answers.

The Clinton supporters in the audience who were so incredibly rude to Edwards and Obama made Clinton look very bad, especially since Edwards, at least, was totally right on in his criticism of her.

56. I saw the opposite
Edwards was put in his place, even the other candidates were on him, and the first time he tried to attack he was stopped by the crowd and by Wolf, who did not allow the unanswered attacks like the last debate. Clinton was allowed to stand up for herself and she did. Edwards could not handle it.

Without a doubt Biden had the best performance. Obama had a moment there for a bit over the immigrant license issue that seemed a bit uncomfortable, but after that I thought he did very well. I wasn't impressed by Clinton or Edwards tonight.

53. I think that Edwards was the loser, with Biden the winner.
The winners:

Biden
Clinton
Kucinich
Dodd
Obama
Richardson
Edwards.

And here is why: Obama and Edwards started out attempting to continue the attacks of the last debate. They were slammed by, Clinton, the moderator (who, unlike Russert, did not allow the unchallenged slams), and the audience who was not putting up with their crap. And they, got the message, and it made them off their attack game.

Obama was exposed for the rank-ameture that he is. We saw him unable to answer questions, and doing what he accused Clinton of doing all along. When he did stand up to attack her on the 6% quesiton (and he is wrong), he was booed for his attack: and it looked bad, she standing bold and looking up at him defiantly while he tried to take her down. Visually, did not look good, and he got booed.

Edwards just stopped, and was marginalized.

Biden kicked ass.

Clinton was back on her game and held her own. She is smart and savvy and presidential.
