Appeals Court Rejects Government’s Bid on Jefferson Documents
By Rachel Van Dongen

A federal court of appeals has refused to re-hear the government’s argument about why it should be allowed to use documents seized in the raid of Rep. William Jefferson’s (D-La.) House office in his upcoming trial on criminal charges.

1. Does anyone else think we'll NEVER find out what really happened?
This whole mess has so far left me with lots of questions,
and no answers.

3. It is obvious he is guilty as hell but they can't just raid a Congressman's office.
There is no good explanation for the hundred thousand dollars in cash they found in his freezer and I would think that alone should warrant an indictment but the law is very plain on Congressional Office area..

4. Not to make light of a criminal investigation
but My Dear Old Dad, God Rest his Soul, used to bushhog for large farms and industries in Northwest Arkansas back in the 70's. He was always paid in cash and he'd always put that money in a plastic bag and stick it in the freezer. It was his "cold cash" whenever he needed a buck or two. And, although not taxed, it was fairly earned with hard work. Don't think that applies to Mr Jefferson; known affectionately as Dollar Bill in New Orleans.

5. Well, that's what I thought at first...
But then it came out that he had gotten that money
FROM the FBI, and they they wanted him to use it
to bribe a third party in a "sting" operation...

I think, given some of the utterly dirty BS currently
being perpetrated by the B*sh "Justice(heh heh heh)Dept.",
that he may have gotten wind that -HE- was being set up
by the FBI, and backed out of the trap at the last minute.

That might explain the bizarre & unprecedented Office raid-
it was a hasty PANIC reaction by some crooks who's setup
was about to backfire on them. They needed to do WHATEVER
it took to get their hands on all the evidence before he found
some HONEST LEAs to tell his story to.

It wasn't about the cash in the freezer- it was about his
computers and personal files. THAT'S where the evidence
that could explain all this WAS.

That's all just :tinfoilhat: musings, of course- as I said
above, I suspect we'll never know rhat really happened.
