The house in Cobb County that uses 400,000 gallons a month

http://www.atlantawatershortage.com/

-snip-

There’s a house in Cobb County that is using over 400,000 gallons of water per month — as much as about 60 normal homes. While there is no evidence of water violations, it certainly seems extreme.

As was mentioned in this video on CNN, the homeowners name is Chris George Carlos. I have no idea how it’s even possible to use that much water in a month without just leaving all of the sinks on full-time. Any idea what he’s doing?

6. This story was on ABC last night; when he had the house built,
he installed water pipes that were quite a bit bigger than standard homes have, so more water rushes through. I can't remember the dimensions; 1/4" vs. 1 inch, maybe?

17. What are the electric bills, I wonder.
That's how the Bel-Air grower got busted. He lived alone in a huge mansion and racked up electric bills in the tens of thousands.

19. Maybe the Cobb grower is generating his own electricity with running water.
Stranger things have happened.

BTW: Does a meth lab use a lot of water?

8. Could be they have a leaking water line underground.
Depending on how deep it's buried it might not be noticeable at the surface.

10. It sounds like something on-going because after month two hw would have
...investigated a $600 per month water bill and a $2400 per month sewage charge resulting from such water use wouldn't you think?

15. That is one huge house.
I don't know what his water bills are but I suspect the guy has a lot of bills that top $600 a month.

20. During the time that Maureen O'Connor was mayor of San Diego,
and she was heavily promoting water conservation, it was revealed that she herself was one of the city's largest private water users - she had two meters on her property, "one for fish and trees" and the other for her house. It became a local scandal, but as usual with rich people, it just sort of faded away.

Seriously, anyone who uses this much water is starting their own navy.

22. This is a volume of water...
equivalent to a cube nearly forty feet on each side. That's a really large swimming pool (or several).
