3 schools closed due to continuing ammonia leak - teen caused

http://hisz.rsoe.hu/alertmap/index.php?smp=&lang=eng

Hillsborough emergency officials say three schools will be closed Tuesday, because of their proximity to a continuing ammonia leak. Riverview Elementary School and two private schools - Center Academy and Children's First - will be closed for classes. Hillsborough School officials say Spoto High School on 8538 Eagle Palm Drive on will take students from Riverview Elementary School who have no one to take care of them during the day. However, no classes will be in session for those students. Students who normally ride a bus to Riverview Elementary School will be taken to Spoto High School on Tuesday. Riverview Elementary School was used as a shelter for evacuated residents who live near the Alafia River. Hillsborough Fire Rescue officials were first alerted to the ammonia leak on Monday evening. Sheriff's deputies later determined that a 16-year-old boy had drilled a hole into a pipe located on U.S. 301 at Balm Riverview Road. The boy said he thought money was hidden in the pipe. Deputies say two other teens were also involved with the drilling. None of them have been charged at this time. The 16-year-old suffered 2nd degree burns on his torso. He is being treated at Tampa General Hospital. U.S. 301 is closed between Gibsonton Drive to Riverview Drive as crews work to cap the leak. They sprayed water on the Alafia River throughout the night and into Tuesday morning, in hopes of dissipating the cloud formed by the ammonia.)
