Another reason why regulation is a GOOD thing:Herbal Sex Pills Pose Hidden Dangers
LOS ANGELES (AP) - Many of the pills marketed as safe herbal alternatives to Viagra and other prescription sex medications pose a hidden danger: For men on common heart and blood-pressure drugs, popping one could lead to a stroke, or even death.

"All-natural" products with names like Stamina-RX and Vigor-25 promise an apothecary's delight of rare Asian ingredients, but many work because they contain unregulated versions of the very pharmaceuticals they are supposed to replace.

That dirty secret represents a special danger for the millions of men who take nitrates _ drugs prescribed to lower blood pressure and regulate heart disease. When mixed, nitrates and impotency pharmaceuticals can slow blood flow catastrophically, leading to a heart attack or stroke.

An Associated Press investigation shows that spiked herbal impotency pills are emerging as a major public health concern that officials haven't figured out how to track, much less tame.

4. Read the article.
The pills they're talking about are illegally spiked with pharmaceuticals. This isn't about natural substances.

Don't you know we must preserve the free market? People will die, then others will know not to use these pills.

3. You godless heathen liberal
Regulation will destroy the first amendment and will cause good christians to spit. Anyone with conservative values will blindly trust whatever the drug companies tell them to trust. Why don't you have conservative values? Shame on you.

7. If only the FDA took heed of that suggestion.
Or Doctors or Scientists or anybody else making gobs of money off selling their particular brand of snake oil.

All about the regulation for safety. But not applied unevenly, somehow "overlooking" those with connected deep pockets who can afford to influence or pay off the "watchers".

8. Hmmm
Yes 10+ years of clinical testing. Such snake oil salesmen, scientists are doing YEARS of repetitive research. Unlike supplement makers who put crap on the market and don't have to prove any of their claims
Might want to read what scientists actually do and how clinical trials work

But what do I know from my 10 years of QA/QC/regulatory affairs
